Clayton attended The University of Alabama and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May of 2012. He began his nursing career working at UAB Hospital for seven years before graduating from UAB with a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.  A travel nursing job landed him a full-time position as both a hospitalist and an internal medicine Nurse Practitioner for two years in the small town of Brattleboro, Vermont. With the anticipation of him and his wife’s first child being born in June of 2022, they moved back to Birmingham, Alabama to be closer to family.  Clayton is proud to be planting roots in his hometown, and he particularly enjoys the Birmingham food scene, traveling, hiking, running and watching the Alabama Crimson Tide sports teams play.
